Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2-1/2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 11.5-oz package milk chocolate chips
  • 1 8-oz. Hershey's milk chocolate bar, coarsely chopped
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 365 degrees. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In an electric mixer, cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until fully incorporated and smooth.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
  4. Slowly add flour mixture to butter mixture.
  5. Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and Hershey's chunks.
  6. Roll into balls with a cookie scoop and place 1 inch apart on cookie sheet.
  7. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, let stand on cookie sheet for 1 minute, then remove to a cooling rack.
