Ingredients
  • ½ cup white vinegar
  • 6 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 Tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • 2 Tbsp canola or peanut oil
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 10 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
  • ¼ to 1 tsp crushed red pepper (adjust to your liking)
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp cold water
  • Hot cooked rice (optional)
  • Optional toppings: green onions and sesame seeds
Instructions
  1. Combine vinegar, soy sauce, honey, and ginger in small bowl; set aside.
  2. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook about 10 minutes or until evenly browned on both sides.
  3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; cook, stirring, 2 to 3 minutes. Add vinegar mixture.
  4. Cover; reduce heat and simmer about 15 minutes, or until chicken is tender, turning chicken occasionally. Remove chicken from pan.
  5. In a small bowl, stir together cornstarch and water. Add to pan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until sauce has thickened. Serve over rice and sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds.
